Hello! Allow me to introduce myself. I am LadyGreenEyes, and this blog is for sharing things that I have built in The Sims 3, along with some sims, both singly and in households, and also some pets. These will be uploaded via The Sims 3 Exchange, where you will need an account to log in, and you can find links to all of my posted uploads there in my Studio. On the site there, I am LadyGreenEyes649. I created these because I simply enjoy doing so, and shared them so that others who play and appreciate the game can enjoy them as well. When one lot was featured, back in 2014, I was very happy to see that more than ten thousand people downloaded it. That all those people could enjoy the lot, an amusement park with a TON of activities for your sims, made the long effort in building worth the time spent.
There are a variety of lots already uploaded, about which I will post first, along with the upload link and photos, so that you can see what everything looks like. Several are amusement parks (I'm also a big fan of the Roller Coaster Tycoon series of games), others are Late Night bars/Showtime combination lots, some are homes, others various community lots. I enjoy recreating lots from television shows as well, along with the characters, and one such lot is already on the Exchange, along with sims for the key cast members. Expect to see more of these in the future, too, as many more are already built, and only awaiting links for the custom content in order to be posted.
Many lots will be official content only, and others will include custom content. The custom items are not my creations, and I will endeavor, whenever they are included, to post links for you, so that the lot will appear properly. Anything you choose not to download would be replaced in the game, and thus make the lot look a little different from how I built it. In the case of television or movie recreations, the custom content is often necessary for the right look. But, as stated, you can use the lot without that in most cases, if you are leery of custom content. I do use a lot of that, from various sites, in much of my lot building. I also have all of the expansions and stuff packs, and all of the Store content (thanks to many generous gifts from other Simmers on the site!!), so if you don't have some of that, some of the lots won't work for you properly.
The sims are mostly characters to fit the recreation lots, though there are a good number of pets that don't look like the usual pets. Those will be listed in a post as well. One sim is based roughly on me, as a much younger person, which I've used as a test sim for various lots. What a shame we can't adjust ourselves as we can a sim, eh? 😁
Everything that you will find here is free to download and use. Just don't claim any of it as your own work, and if you use the custom content, be sure to respect the creators' wishes regarding their work. There are many people out there creating some truly awesome objects for the game, and I hope they know how much th rest of us appreciate that! I'm not sure I'd have the patience to creat new objects myself. Many ideas for some, but no patience!
Building, though, I can handle that! At some point, you can even look for whole worlds, perhaps based on one television show or another. Something to look forward to!
Anyway, now that Ive likely put you half asleep, I will end this by asking that, if you like what you see, and/or if you know people who still love and play The Sims 3, perhaps direct them here, so that they can enjoy the work I share as well. No profit, just offered to fellow simmers. I am also willing to try request builds, depending on what's needed, for people who like playing and hate building. Plenty of those around, I know!
